Presentation of painting to Stanley Jacobs and Iyanla Vanzant
- May 2017 in Collaboration with UVI
Stanley Jacobs, a Virgin Islander who is considered a “ musical genius” receives an honorary degree from the University of the Virgin Islands on May 12, 2017(www.uvi.edu 2017). Stanley who is known with the band “Stanley and the Ten Sleepless Knights” as they play sweet “quelbe” music is well deserving of this honor. He was also recognized at the pre-graduation activities where The University of the Virgin Islands in collaboration with Christa-Ann Davis Molloy presented him with a painting done by her in celebration of Stanley’s accomplishments. Christa-Ann Davis Molloy sincerely thanks President David Hall and the University of the Virgin Islands for considering her artwork.

Project Name
Iyanla Vanzant, “a prolific and commanding author, soulful priestess, television personality and healer of people, is the keynote speaker at the University of the Virgin Islands 2017 commencement ceremonies”(www.uvi.edu, 2017). Ms. Vanzant also received an honorary degree from the University of the Virgin Islands on May 11th, 2017. At the pre-graduation activities, Iyanla received two cultural pillows (Moko Jumbies and Quadrille Dancers) from the University of the Virgin Islands in collaboration with artist Christa-Ann Davis Molloy. Christa-Ann Davis Molloy sincerely thanks President David Hall and the University of the Virgin Islands for considering her artwork.
